Our Philosophy is to endeavour to reduce the environmental impact of our activities on the community today and in the future.
We have worked closely with production to ensure that:
Energy consumption is reduced
Tile waste is regenerated
Yarn ends are regenerated, or recycled
Our products are engineered to last longer, therefore requiring less frequent replacement
Over the past twelve months we have launched tiles with Envirolite backing. Envirolite is 100% pure hydrocarbon tile backing, which contains no plasiticisers or solvents. This ensures that there is no leakage of chemicals into the atmosphere. Tiles with Envirolite backing can be 100% recycled
RECYCLING
We have launched Definition tiles, made from 80% recycled yarn, and like many of our other products, is made up of solution dyed nylon which reduces dye effluent discharges.
We use recycled paper and pulp in tubes, boxes and leaflets.
